Deep in the Forest

“Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better to take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.” – Carl Jung

DEEP IN THE FOREST
The trees, so inviting,
whispering the song
of soulful yearning
where the light was disappearing;
the depth felt so thrilling.
But now I wonder,
how I got there.
Where did the trail end
and my misty path began?
When did the night fall and
the dawn never became?
Will I find my way
back to the world,
is my soul forever
in the forest lost? Or,
has it been found
and nurtured back to life?
The life of new breath,
mountain lakes and
silver lining in the clouds.
