Bursting into Flames

“The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched – they must be felt with the heart.” – Helen Keller

BURSTING INTO FLAMES

When the paths lead to nowhere
and birds stop chirping their summer sonnet.
When the ground begins to crumble
under one’s weary footsteps and
the bears disappear into their dens.
When the homeless lose their hope
and the wealthy lose their warmth.
When autumn leaves watch us fall
and the crispy snow covers our souls.
When evil prevails and good life dies
it’s time to inhale a thousand of breaths
and discover a million of honest eyes.
The mystery of life and inevitability of death,
the courage to feel the seasons change
striving for what is invariably right –
the peace of the inner light.
For that’s where the flicker
of hope bursts into flames
and journeys through
the universe;
forever curious,
forever timeless.
