“Even a happy life cannot be without a measure of darkness, and the word happy would lose its meaning if it were not balanced by sadness. It is far better take things as they come along with patience and equanimity.” – Carl Jung
WHEN THE STARS TAKE A REST
Darkness, the obscure shade
many fear, is harmless.
It’s only gliding air
when the stars take a rest.
The sky like the mind
like a river always rushing
through the unyielding rocks;
One must forget to see
for a while and let it all be.
Just a short moment
to catch a breath.
Forget woes, let it rain,
with tenderness
sit in the sun’s gold.
The stars too will wake
like flowers greeting a new day.

Nicely narrated, Sharka! 🙂
