Silhouette of Life

“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” – Vicki Corona

SILHOUETTE OF LIFE

Under the sky illuminated
by the glow of the setting sun
as we all together sit in awe
and wonderment
observing the flow of life
somehow we forget about
gender, age and race,
about sorrow and despair.
For a moment we are embraced
by the beauty of Nature’s arms
as children of the universe;
green turtles, birds and humans,
trees, plants, grains of sand.
The hour before moonrise
as the sun leisurely sets to rest,
all living becomes
a breathtaking silhouette.
