Wisdom of the Spiritual Field

There is a field between
an ancient tree and youthful sky
where the roots reach deep
and hope travels free.
Where the ripe fruit at the orchard
is deliciously sweet
and the beating of our hearts
without boundary echoes
through you and me.

The complementary rhythm
of changing seasons
when spring breathes
its restoring glow into your soul
as the winter already learned
of enduring the storms,
pain, the weight of snow.
Where one is taught how to feel
and enjoy the flavor of each time.
Urged to bring its spice
and have a picnic in the field
between the tongues of mountaintops
and the grip of river’s deep;
the field of timeless dreams
where we all will one day meet.
