“No man ever steps in the same river twice, for it’s not the same river and he’s not the same man.” – Heraclitus
Often when we go through a difficult period of time, when we find ourselves lost in the forest of darkness, we don’t believe we’ll ever find the path and see light again.
I’ve found myself lost this past month. It has been so densely dark that for a moment I thought I am blind. I still don’t know where I am going, where I am going to land and what is awaiting me. But I must believe the sun is always there even when it’s cloudy outside.
Fortunately, there have been a few tiny rays of light trying to touch my soul. Small flickers but heartwarming, whether it be a poem, quote, or a letter with encouraging words. All these small spiritual sparks reaching me at the right time seemingly spread like a wildfire within my heart, giving me hope and the will to wake up.
I must believe a new day will bring a new beginning, a small step in the right direction, wherever that may be. But I must wake up first!
Sometimes we must allow our heart to sing before we even know the words and believe we will dance again.
Love & Peace
