“Anyone who has lost something they thought was theirs forever finally comes to realize that nothing really belongs to them.” ― Paulo Coelho
Millions of self-help books written, even more of inspirational quotes, countless of lucrative training programs for us to participate in and get empowered. And yet, with all these resources so many people die by their own hand or on the streets decorating this world. There is no shortage of 1, 2, 3 steps to implement; get out of your comfort zone that’s where life happens; life is at the opposite side of fear. But how to climb out of a black hole no one seems to know but everyone is quick to tell you one thing and that is: Stay Positive. Look at the bright side. It could be worse.
Nothing belongs to us, even this day is not ours. Tomorrow is not ours either. So, who owns us? Is it the soil of earth, is it oxygen? Is it the unknown? Is it fear? I have no answers, I wish I did. But my own inner light is dimming, leaving me spiritually homeless with a mind filled with darkness, fear and weakness. And so, I lie down for a moment to feel the rhythm of life flowing through me. Perhaps, I’ll find the answers while I contemplate and if not, nothing belonged to us in the first place, not even life.
So, why the race? Where are we running, who are we chasing and who are we leaving behind? Perhaps we all meet again in heaven or hell and will continue the race of unfulfilled souls. We’ll compare stories realizing how much we lost and how much we never had. Perhaps we’ll even laugh about the wasted time of sadness and pain, about the holes in our hearts and the broken spirit we carried around, making our life so heavy and unbearable. Or perhaps, we won’t know the difference.
Love & Peace,
